Bridgeway Community Church

Client Background

Bridgeway Community Church is a vibrant, multi-campus parish with locations in Columbia (‘COL’) and Owings Mills/Reisterstown (‘OMR’), Maryland, plus a thriving online presence. Led by Dr. David Anderson, Bridgeway fosters community through worship, education, outreach, and multicultural representation. Its mission—“build into one another as we build bridges to our community”—drives intentional spaces for spiritual growth and connection. Their annual themes, which run from September through June, play a significant role in unifying their parishioners and inspiring engagement. Recent themes include ‘Make It Better’ which teaches to embrace challenges and work together,  ‘Come Home’ which teaches to create inclusive space for spiritual growth and belonging, and most recently ‘G3’ which stands for ‘Give. God. Glory.’ and teaches us to live a life that reflects God’s goodness and grace. Committed to excellence in communication and branding, Bridgeway partners with trusted collaborators like Strategic Factory to create compelling print, signage, and branded materials that engage its congregation and expand its outreach, demonstrating the transformative power of unity in diversity.

The Challenge

Bridgeway Community Church was already in the midst of working on its Annual Report with another provider when they first toured Strategic Factory’s facilities. While they had no immediate need for additional services, the visit introduced them to the extensive range of branding and marketing solutions available. Inspired by the innovative print techniques and high-quality embellished products they saw, they decided to pilot a project with Strategic Factory. This opportunity led them to explore how elevated design and strategic branding could enhance their communication efforts, particularly around their impactful annual themes.

The Process & Solution

Strategic Factory adopted a trusted advisor model, working closely with Derek, Bridgeway’s Coordinator of Communications, to address their evolving needs:

  1. Logo Design: In the summer of 2024, Strategic Factory delivered a comprehensive logo design package for the church’s ministry theme, “G3” (“Give. God. Glory.”).
  2. Brand Guidelines: Along with the logo, Strategic Factory created a handy brand guide complete with font selections, a color pallet, and a guide to logo usage ensuring cohesive communication across all platforms.
  3. Custom Promotional Products: To support the “G3” theme, Strategic Factory designed and produced journals, bracelets, mugs, and other branded items. The journals, custom-designed for weekly use during parish gatherings, became a cornerstone of community engagement.
  4. Additional Branding: Strategic Factory produced print, mail, and signage as needed including Christmas Play Fliers, Christmas Play Set Pieces, Offering Envelopes, Fliers, Interior Vinyl Graphics, Exterior Perforated Window Graphics, Interior Wayfinding Signage, Annual Reports with Spot UV Finishing,  and Event Step-And-Repeat Banners.

The Results

Bridgeway Community Church experienced measurable benefits from its partnership with Strategic Factory:

  • Increased Engagement: The branded journals designed for the “G3” theme became a beloved resource during weekly gatherings, fostering reflection and spiritual growth. Congregants embraced the opportunity to document their faith journey, deepening their connection to God and one another. Dr. Anderson noted, “Everyone loves the journals. They’ve become a vital part of our ministry.”
  • Higher Volume of Orders: Bridgeway’s promotional product orders increased significantly compared to previous years when working with other vendors, highlighting Strategic Factory’s competitive pricing, superior quality, and exceptional customer service.
  • Community Impact: The cohesive branding and high-quality materials elevated the church’s events and outreach efforts from weekly service to the annual Christmas Play and CandyFest. Parishioners felt a stronger sense of belonging, while community members and first-time visitors were embraced with warmth and connection.
  • Elevated Brand Presence: Thoughtfully designed signage, banners, and promotional products reinforced Bridgeway’s identity and mission, ensuring a polished and unified look across all events. By creating a visually engaging and professional presence, these branding elements strengthened the church’s connection to the broader community and positioned Bridgeway as a welcoming, impactful, and recognizable pillar of faith.

Strategic Factory is honored to be Bridgeway’s trusted partner for their branding and marketing needs, empowering them to continue their work of inspiring and serving others in the spirit of unity and love.
